卢森堡现代艺术博物馆任命新的艺术部门负责人

Florence Ostende has been appointed as the new Head of Artistic Department at Mudam Luxembourg (Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean), following an international search process. She is currently a curator at Barbican Art Gallery in London and has curated several exhibitions, including Carrie Mae Weems: Reflections for Now, Noguchi, Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer, and Into the Night: Cabarets and Clubs in Modern Art. Prior to joining Barbican in 2016, Ostende was Adjunct Curator at Dallas Contemporary and a tutor of theory and art history at HEAD Genève.

In her statement, Ostende expressed her excitement about joining Mudam Luxembourg and emphasized the museum's unique position in Europe and its potential to shape a creative and inclusive curatorial repertoire. She also highlighted her commitment to engaging with Luxembourg's global community and expanding the museum's support for artists' radical imaginations and learning for all.

Ostende is set to assume her new role on April 15th.
