SpaceX is preparing to launch its 30th mission from the Space Coast this year, with a Falcon 9 rocket scheduled to carry 23 Starlink internet satellites. If successful, this launch would mark the 300th recovery of a booster for the company. The launch is set for Tuesday evening, with a backup opportunity on Wednesday. The weather forecast looks promising for both days.

The first-stage booster, making its ninth flight including one human spaceflight, will attempt a recovery landing on the droneship Just Read the Instructions stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. SpaceX has a strong track record of successful booster recoveries, with the last failed landing occurring in February 2021.

SpaceX has been the primary launcher from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral this year, with only two launches carried out by United Launch Alliance. The company's rapid launch cadence is expected to continue, potentially surpassing 100 launches from the Space Coast by the end of the year.

In addition to SpaceX's upcoming launches, ULA is gearing up for the launch of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner atop an Atlas V rocket and preparing for the second launch of its new Vulcan Centaur rocket. Blue Origin also plans to debut its New Glenn rocket as early as September.
