SpaceX achieved a significant milestone with the 300th successful booster recovery, marking the 30th launch from the Space Coast for the year. The mission involved a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink internet satellites, which blasted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station's Space Launch Complex 40. This launch also marked the 270th time SpaceX has reflown a booster, with the particular booster making its ninth trip to space. Notably, SpaceX has not had a failed booster landing since February 2021.

SpaceX is responsible for the majority of launches from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral this year, with plans to increase the rate of launches. The company's accelerated launch schedule could see the Space Coast surpass 100 launches before the end of the year, with ULA also preparing for upcoming launches, including the May 6 launch of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner atop an Atlas V rocket. Additionally, ULA is gearing up for the second launch of its new Vulcan Centaur rocket, while Blue Origin aims to debut its New Glenn rocket as early as September.
